Westminster's Collier Breaks Pair of Career Records

Westminster College senior Lexi Collier broke the Blue Jays career kill and block records during Tuesday's match at Fontbonne University. She now has 851 career kills and 271 career blocks.

Senior Lexi Collier broke the career kill and block records during Tuesday's match at Fontbonne University. She now has 851 career kills and 271 career blocks.

Going into the night, Collier was three kills shy of breaking the record of 847 held by Alex Berry '12. Entering the 2015 season, she needed just 38 kills to break the record. She averaged 270 kills per season in her first three years with the Blue Jays. She averages 2.47 kills per set. 

Collier was tied with the career blocks record heading into the match with 269. Holding the record prior to Collier was Meredith Gibbons '10. Entering into the 2015 season, she needed just 11 blocks to break the record. She averaged 86.3 blocks per season throughout her first three years. She currently averages .79 blocks per set.

The career records reflect the rally-scoring era, 2001-present.
