The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Players of the Week for March 20, 2023

Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week
  Landon Mokris, Greenville University

Mokris batted .519 with 1 home run and 9 RBI over seven games for the Panthers last week. He added five runs scored and two doubles and helped the Panthers to three wins. The senior recorded hits in all seven games including three three-hit games. On the week he had a .515 on-base percentage and a .704 slugging percentage. 

Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Week
  Gavin Kinworthy, Fontbonne University

The sophomore hurler picked up a win in his conference opener, going 7 innings against Eureka. Kinworthy struck out a career-high 15 batters in the game, holding the Red Devils to no runs and just three hits while walking none. 

Softball Hitter of the Week
  Grayce Marcum, Spalding University

The sophomore outfielder hit .355 with 2 home runs and 10 runs batted in over eight games last week. Marcum went 11-for-31 at the plate with 11 runs scored and a .806 slugging percentage on the week. She had four multi-hit games. Her best day was in a split doubleheader on March 18 when she went 5-for-8 with 5 runs scored and 7 RBI in the two games. 

Softball Pitcher of the Week
  Erica McMann, Spalding University

McMann won all three of her starts in the circle last week, making five appearances in total. The senior worked 22 1/3 innings on the week, recording a 2.19 earned-run average and 11 strikeouts. She had two complete games and walked just four batters on the week. Her best outing was against Skidmore in which she went 7 innings, allowing one run on four hits while striking out four.

Men's Golf    
  Nolan Keeler, Spalding University

Keeler wins his second weekly award this season after tying for 25th at the Barton Intercollegiate. The junior finished with a three-round score of 230 with a low round of 74 in the third round. He finished the event with eight birdies and one eagle. 

Women's Golf    
  Jordan Harris, Spalding University

Harris led the Golden Eagles at the Barton College Intercollegiate. The sophomore carded a two-round score of 173, finishing tied for 23rd overall. She cut five strokes off her first-round score, closing out the event with an 84. 

Men's Outdoor Track    
  Nana Koranteng, Principia College

Competing in a field full of Division II runners, Koranteng accounted for 16 points for the Panthers at the Falcon Classic. The freshman took 3rd place in the 400-meters with a time of 50.56 seconds. He also finished 4th in the 800-meters, setting a new personal record, and in the 4x400 relay. 

Women's Outdoor Track    
  Shyanne Hagen, Spalding University

Hagen notched eight points for the Golden Eagles thanks to her 2nd place finish in the long jump at the Jim Vargo Invite. The freshman marked 13'4.25" in the event, the third-best mark in program history. She also competed in the 100-meter dash, finishing in 14.41 seconds.

  • Ryan D'Amico, Principia College (Baseball) Had six hits and four runs batted in during a doubleheader sweep of Maranatha Baptist. 
  • Parker Wielt, Webster University (Baseball) Finished with 8 hits, 7 RBI, and 4 runs scored in four games last week.
