WATERTOWN, Wis. -- Maranatha had no answers for Blackburn's slugfest yesterday, in which they recorded 37 hits and two home runs. The Beavers swept the Sabercats in after 5 innings with scores of 17-0 & 12-0.

STORY
The Beavers scored a run in all but one inning of the 17-0 win in game one, and they waited until the fifth- their final at-bat - to unleash an11-run showing to finish things off with a bang.
On Maranatha's side, the Sabercats struggled to kick-start anything offensively. Malia Bullock led Maranatha with two of the four hits. But the Sabercats could bring home no runs in the game. Holly Heuerman was the protagonist for Blackburn, smashing two home runs while going 2-4 with four RBIs.
The Sabercats showed improvement in game two, but not enough to get the win as they fell 0-12. Maranatha gave up 15 hits to their opponents, seven less than in game one.
Dani Chaney recorded the only hit for Maranatha in the game, with a single hit past first base.
