GEORGETOWN, TEXAS- Southwestern University hosted a doubleheader during Spring Break against Eureka College at Taylor-Sanders Field. 

The Eureka College Red Devils came into this matchup with a 0-2 record, while the Pirates had played 17 games. In Game 1 of the series, the Red Devils jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first. With some great hitting and aggressive base running, the Pirates scored 4 runs in the bottom of the first inning and never looked back. They went on to win Game 1 7-4 and followed that up with a 6-1 victory in Game 2. The Pirates finished out the preseason with a 7-12 record. 

Next up, they host Trinity for Game 1 of 3 at Taylor-Sanders Field on Friday, March 17 at 4:00pm.
