Set Notes
Set 1: The first set was back-and-forth action throughout with both teams not giving way on the defensive side of the net.
Fontbonne eventually grabbed a 16-15 lead on Hannah Gallagher's service ace. They maintained its lead up until the Red Devils tied it, 22-22. After both teams traded points, the Griffins got a kill from Ella Werner-Click followed by a Eureka attack error for the 25-23 win.
Both teams combined for 49 digs in the set with the Griffins having the 25-24 edge. Jadyn Fitzgerald led with five kills. Kelly Herr, Kristen Kaempfe, and Werner-Click had three kills each.
Set 2: The Griffins dominated the second from start-to-finish having a match-high .308 hitting percentage for the 25-13 win.
Fontbonne compiled 14 kills led by Kaempfe with five. Fitzgerald upped her kill total to nine in the match after totaling four in the second.
Set 3: It was more of the same story in the third with Fontbonne getting it done with 11 kills and 25 digs in the set going on for the 25-12 match win.
Team Notes
- Fontbonne totaled 41 kills and a .178 hitting percentage.
- Defensively, the team came away with 72 digs.
- The Griffins had a season-high 13 service aces.
