Men's soccer ties Webster for second time

FENTON, Mo. - An exciting first half saw Greenville and Webster combine for four goals, and the second half ended scoreless for a 2-2 draw, the second time Greenville and Webster have tied this season. In Webster's conference competition, the Panthers are the only team that they have not defeated.

The two squads alternated goals. Webster scored in the fourth minute, and the Panthers came back with a goal from Napoleon Urquidi in the 10th minute to tie the match at 1-1.

In the 29th minute, the Gorloks scored again, and the Panthers added a late first half goal from Petter Meinseth with 21 seconds to play in the period to bring the score to 2-2.

In the second half, each team had three shots, and Greenville's goalkeeper Hiram Cruz had the third of his three saves.

Urquidi and Andres Garcia led GU with two shots, each player having one shot on goal.

The Panthers (4-3-5, 4-1-4 SLIAC) host Fontbonne on Saturday at 1 p.m. in GU's Homecoming match.
