Men's Soccer Gets Late Goal From Kladnjakovic To Tie Monmouth

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind.—After dealing with rainy conditions at the start of the game, the Fontbonne University men's soccer team battled Monmouth to a 3-3 tie.
The Griffins got on the board first in the ninth minute when Anthony Dalton flicked the ball on to Brandon O'Dell in the box and he scored his first on the season.
Fontbonne continued its offensive presence, and it paid off once more in the 20th minute. Ruderis Moreno Jr., kicked the ball ahead of Conner Heern. The senior got behind the Scots defense and beat Marcos Garibay to the near side for his first on the year.
Prior to the half ending, though the Scots cut into the deficit in the 35th minute getting a goal from Nicolas Esparon.
It remained a one goal lead for Fontbonne up until the 78th minute when Esparon scored an unassisted goal tying the game. In the 83rd minute, the Griffins were called for a foul in the box and Monmouth were awarded a penalty kick. Esparon scored his third of the game giving the Scots a 3-2 lead.
However, the Griffins answered right back in the 87th minute when Anthony Dalton dribbled down the right side, passed it over for Eldar Kladnjakovic, and he buried his shot past Garibay to end the game in a 3-3 tie.
