Moore Jr. Breaks Gorlok Blocks Record

Karl Moore Jr. put his name in the Webster University men's basketball record book on Wednesday night, breaking the program record for career blocks. The sophomore forward had seven blocks in his team's 67-59 road win over Eureka College; adding 14 points and 15 rebounds. That marks his fifth double-double of the season and the 12th time this season he has recorded multiple blocks in the same game.

Moore Jr. had a career-high nine blocks earlier this season, one behind the Webster record and tied for 3rd most in conference history. He now has 129 career blocks, surpassing Nigel Wilcox (2017-19). Moore Jr. is also the program leader in single-season blocks with 84, set last year when he was named the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year and a member of the SLIAC All-Defensive team.

Moore Jr. currently leads the SLIAC with 45 blocked shots and is averaging 9.4 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. He ranks 7th in NCAA Division III at 3.00 blocks per game. He now ranks 10th in conference history with Brad Bryan, from MacMurray College (1997-2000) holding the conference record with 216 career blocks.
