The Gorloks won their last three games of the regular season to finish in a first-place tie in the SLIAC standings and win the tiebreaker to earn the tournament's top overall seed. It has been a season of streaks for the Gorloks. After dropping their first eight games of the season they won their next ten only to go on a four-game losing streak before going on their current three-game win streak. They have struggled from three-point range this season but lead the SLIAC in rebounding margin, blocks per game, and points per game allowed. Much of that is due to the presence of Karl Moore Jr., who is averaging 10.2 points and 9.7 rebounds per game while leading the conference with 75 blocked shots. Wynne Brown Jr. leads the team at 15.1 points per game while Jason Coleman is averaging 10.4 points per game.

For the second year in a row, the Griffins are SLIAC regular season champions, this year earning a Co-Champ title. It marks just the second time the program has won back-to-back titles, following the 1993-94 and 1994-95 teams. They closed out the regular season with two straight wins and rank 2nd in the league in steals per game. The Griffins are a guard-dominant offense with Caden Clark leading a trio of Griffins in double figures at 13.6 points per game while also leading the SLIAC in assists. Brent Wagner is putting up 12.6 points per game with a team-high 59 threes while Elijah Rice is averaging 10.0 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. Will Suellentrop (7.9 ppg and 7.2 rpg) and Cheikh Thiam (7.6 ppg and 6.8 rpg) are options in the paint.

#3 Eureka

Eureka carries the league's longest active winning streak into the tournament, a six-game run to close out the regular season. The Red Devils' offense is balanced with four players averaging in double figures. Cody Baer leads the team at 17.7 points per game, shooting 54 percent from the field, and rebounding at 11.7 rebounds per game. His fellow inside partner is Logan Dorethy, who is averaging 12.7 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. The guard position is locked down by Austyn Ellison (14.2 ppg) and Peewee Brown. Brown is averaging 16.6 points per game since arriving in mid-December.

#4 Principia

Since setting the program record for wins in a season with 17, the Panthers have dropped three straight. Principia is looking to right that with its first home tournament game in program history, a place they were 13-1 at this year. The Panthers are the best shooting team in the SLIAC, leading the league in both field goal and three-point percentage and ranking 3rd in free-throw percentage. Jaquan Adams leads the team in scoring (17.2 ppg) despite mainly coming off the bench. Jake Kampf is one the most dangerous shooters in the league, averaging 13.0 points per game while knocking down 45 percent of his threes. The versatile Clark Davidson is averaging 12.2 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game.

#5 Spalding

After a tough start to the season that saw the Golden Eagles with just one win mid-way through January, head coach Kevin Gray found the right combination; picking up 7 wins in its final 11 games. An offense that has struggled to score at times this year has been helped by a tough defense that averages 7.5 steals per game and limits opponents to a .319 three-point percentage. A pair of sophomores, Anthony Dillard and Maxton Campbell, are the main scoring options. Dillard is averaging 15.0 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while Campbell is putting up 11.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game; with both players shooting over 50 percent from the field.

#6 Greenville

Greenville did not pick up its second win of the season until January 18th but won six games in the final month. The fast-paced offense has slowed down a little this year, averaging 102.6 points per game but has become more efficient and ranks 3rd in the SLIAC in three-point percentage; an increase of three spots over last year. Keishun Thomas leads the team at 15.7 points per game with 79 threes. Jarred Johnson is averaging 14.8 points per game while the trio of Carlos Crespo, Darius Scott, and Travis Dickey are all averaging double figures as well. The defense continues to pressure opponents, ranking 1st in the SLIAC with 12.2 steals per game.
