Wdowka Named PING All-Region

This afternoon the Golf Coaches Association of America announced the NCAA Division III PING All-Region Teams for the 2023 season. For his efforts this past season, Jan Antonin Wdowka was named All-Region VI.

Wdowka, a freshman out of Prague, Czech Republic, had a great first season with the Gorloks. He played in 23 rounds on the season and had a scoring average of 74.7. He shot back-to-back 68's in the SLIAC Men's Golf Championship to help guide the team to their 12^th overall, and sixth straight, SLIAC Title. He became the 10^th player in Webster men's golf history to win the SLIAC Men's Golf Individual Championship and was named the SLIAC Men's Golf Player of the Year. He was also named First Team All-SLIAC. He recorded four sub-70 rounds on the season including two rounds of 69 in the Transylvania Fall Invitational and two rounds of 68 in the SLIAC Men's Golf Championship. This is his first career All-Region selection.

The men's golf team is currently competing in the NCAA Division III Men's Golf National Tournament in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The four-day event started today and will conclude on Friday, May 19^th at Keene Trace Golf Club.
