Greenville Men's Soccer Season Concludes with Loss to Kenyon

The men's soccer team traveled to the NCAA Division III national tournament at Kenyon and was defeated 6-1 by the No. 3 Kenyon Owls to bring a conclusion to their successful season.

The Panthers gave up four goals in the first half and allowed two goals in the second half before Pablo Valverde posted a late goal with an assist from Jared McPeek to break up the shutout.

Greenville allowed 16 shots in the match and posted five shots. The Panthers were led by three shots by McPeek, and Napoleon Urquidi and Valverde each had one shot.

Goalkeeper Hiram Cruz posted five saves in just over 61 minutes of action, and Francesco Ribechini collected one save.

The Panthers (11-4-5) finished the season second in the SLIAC standings with only one conference loss and then went on to win the championship of the SLIAC tournament.
