Seven Earn All-Region Honors

Seven men's soccer players from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference have been named All-Region by the United Soccer Coaches. Greenville University and Webster University each placed three players on the list while Principia College had one player receive the honors.

Receiving the honors from Greenville were Jared McPeek, Andres Garcia, and Pablo Valverde. McPeek led the way for the Panthers, earning Second Team honors after recording 9 goals and 5 assists this fall. Garcia and Valverde were both named Third Team. Garcia, a freshman midfielder, had 1 goal and 2 assists in picking up All-Conference honors while Valverde, a junior forward, finished with 7 goals and 4 assists for 18 points. 

Webster's Aamahn Murvin picked up First Team honors. The graduate student led the Gorloks with 14 goals and 7 assists for 35 points. He picked up his third consecutive SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year award and finished this season ranked in the top 20 in the nation in several categories. He was joined on the All-Region list by Second Team honoree Tavis Cameron and Third Team selection Isaac Pearson. Cameron, a senior defender, anchored a Gorlok defense that allowed just 13 goals this season while recording 12 shutouts. He was named the SLIAC Defensive Player of the Year this season. Pearson, a graduate student, recorded 2 goals and 2 assists for 6 points from his midfield position.

The final selection from the conference was from Principia College with EG Pierce picking up Third Team honors. The senior defender capped his collegiate career with a 2 goal and 1 assist season, earning All-Conference honors for the second straight season.
