Pioneers Hold Commanding Lead

2022 SLIAC Women's Golf Championship - Round 2

Grinnell College holds a commanding lead after the second day of play in the 2022 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championship. After opening up a 32-stroke lead after the first round the Pioneers extended its lead to 54 strokes after 36 holes. Grinnell carded a 302 in the second round, dropping its team score by one stroke from yesterday. 

Vidushi Keni sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 147 after shooting a round two tournament-best 72 on Sunday. Kavya Keshav is two strokes behind and Mary Li is third overall with a 151.

Illinois College and Lake Forest College are just four strokes apart with IC currently in 2nd with a 657. The Lady Blues are being led by Kate Burr who is in 5th place individually with a 157. Sandie Norville, playing as an individual, is also in the top ten in the tournament field with a 162.

Lake Forest is at a 661 after two rounds. Gabrielle Krebs is pacing the Forresters with a 159, good for 8th overall. Alijah Campbell and Sydney Foulon are just outside the top ten with both shooting a 164. 

Spalding University finished the day with a team score of 683 after shooting a 342 in round two. Alexis Seay leads the Golden Eagles with a 163, putting her in a tie for 10th place individually. 

Fontbonne University cut off 20 strokes from their opening round, shooting a 383 on Sunday for a team score of 786. Annie McFee carded an 83 on day two and leads the team with a 176, tied for 24th. 

Westminster College dropped 42 shots from day one, shooting a 503 on Sunday. The pair of Hannah Meyers and Ruramaimunashe Mutefura are tied for the team lead with a two-round score of 252.

Eureka College concluded round two with a team score of 502 with Megan Masching pacing the team with a 96. 

Blackburn College has three golfers competing and is led by Tess Saathoff with a 182, putting her 29th individually. Monmouth College is also competing with three golfers and is paced by Sarah Saddoris' 206.
