Harris Picks Up First Collegiate Win

Jordan Harris recorded her first collegiate win over the weekend, helping the Spalding University women's golf team to a first-place finish at the SU Alabama Invasion. Harris, a sophomore, carded a two-round score of 165; winning by one stroke. She opened with a first-round 85 before closing the tournament with an 80; tying for the lowest round of the tournament. 

Alexis Seay tied for 2nd with a 166 while Rianna LaFuente tied for 9th with a 176. As a team, Spalding shot a first round 348 before cutting four strokes in the second round with a 344 and winning the tournament by six shots. This is the Golden Eagles' first tournament win of the season after two 2nd place finishes, and they return to action this weekend in the Barton Intercollegiate.
