Mansholt Named Blackburn Women's Soccer Head Coach

Blackburn College Director of Athletics Rob Steinkuehler announced that John Mansholt has been hired as the new Head Women's Soccer Coach at Blackburn College.  Mansholt brings 28 years of coaching experience to Blackburn.  Most recently he was the assistant director of athletics for facilities and operations at the University of Texas at Tyler.

"We are very excited to welcome Coach Mansholt to our staff," said Steinkuehler.  "He's a seasoned soccer coach with previous head coaching experience within our conference.  His coaching philosophy, disposition, and passion for the game will elevate the program immediately," added Steinkuehler.

Before he became an administrator, Mansholt was the Head Men's Soccer Coach at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, Illinois from 2015 until 2020.  While serving as the men's coach at MacMurray, Mansholt was the long-time girls soccer coach at Jacksonville High School coaching there from 1997 until 2019.  Mansholt also served as the Head Men's Coach at Illinois College from 1992-2001.

The Jacksonville, Illinois native played collegiately at Illinois College and Sangamon State University which is now known as the University of Illinois at Springfield.
