Five Women's Soccer Players Earn All-Region Nod

The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference had five players named to the United Soccer Coaches All-Region team. Picking up honors this season are Libby Bateman, Jen De Leon De Leon, Krystal Kohenskey, Grace Rodgers, and Caroline Neal.

Fontbonne paced all programs from the conference with three players receiving recognition. Kohenskey led the way with a Second Team selection. The forward led the conference with 15 goals and 16 assists for 46 points while being named the SLIAC Offensive Player of the Year. Her teammates Libby Bateman and Caroline Neal were both named to the Third Team. Bateman, a senior defender, was part of a defense that recorded 14 shutouts, allowing just 8 goals all season, while setting the conference record for consecutive scoreless minutes and consecutive shutouts while tying the record for shutouts in a season. Neal, a midfielder, finished with 6 goals in her final year with the Griffins.

De Leon De Leon, a forward from Greenville University, was named Third Team. She tied for the conference lead with 15 goals and added 8 assists, finishing second in the league with 38 total points. 

Rodgers, a sophomore from Webster University, picked up Third Team honors. She tallied 13 goals and 10 assists this season for 36 points while also picking up All-Conference honors.
