Nine Named Academic All-District in Volleyball

Nine players from the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference have been named to the 2022 Academic All-District team in volleyball by the College Sports Communicators. Three programs from the SLIAC placed student-athletes on this year's academic honoree list with Fontbonne University leading the way with four honorees. Griffins earning the honor are Hannah Gallagher, Kristen Kaempfe, Emma Pramik, and Ella Werner-Click.

Spalding University placed three players on the list with Jayda Branch, Kayla Dunican, and Gabby Ellis receiving honors. 

Cassie Gray and Kaylee Portell represented Webster University by receiving recognition this year.  

To be nominated for the award, a student-athlete must be a sophomore, junior, or senior with a minimum 3.5 grade-point average and participate in at least 50 percent of their team's games. The student-athlete must also be a starter or important reserve for their team.
