2022 Men's Soccer Players of the Week

October 31, 2022    
Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Marco Donjuan, Webster University

A freshman midfielder, Donjuan was part of two wins for the Gorloks to close out the regular season. In the finale he buried two goals, scoring them less than a minute apart. He finished the week with four points on three shots. 

Defensive Player of the Week    
 

Dominic Haggard, Fontbonne University

Haggard, a sophomore keeper, picked up a tie against Principia. In 90 minutes Haggard made seven saves, allowing just one goal, and finishing with a .875 save percentage.

Offensive Player of the Week    
 

Brandon O'Dell, Fontbonne University

O'Dell notched two goals in two games last week for the Griffins. He helped extend his team's lead in a 2-0 win over Blackburn and gave his team the lead by scoring the first goal of the game against Eureka. He finished with four points and seven shots on the week and now has five goals on the season.

Defensive Player of the Week
  E.G. Pierce, Principia College

A senior defender Pierce led a Panther defense that recorded back-to-back shutouts against conference opponents. He helped shut down the Spalding and Webster offensive attacks and hand the Gorloks their first loss against a conference member in 37 games.

Offensive Player of the Week
 

Mark Moore, Webster University

Moore helped the Gorloks go undefeated last week, notching two goals and one assist in two conference games. He scored a go-ahead goal against Greenville and added a goal and assist in a 3-0 win over Westminster. He finished the week with five points and four shots on goal.

Defensive Player of the Week  
  Gavin O'Donley, Spalding University

O'Donley helped the Golden Eagles to a win and tie last week against two conference opponents. He stopped four shots in a tie against Fontbonne and added four more saves in a win over Eureka. On the week he finished with a .800 save percentage and a 1.04 goals-against average.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Aamahn Murvin, Webster University

Murvin continues to shine for the Gorloks, winning his third straight award. The senior forward notched a goal and an assist in a pair of conference wins last week. He buried the game-winning goal against Spalding. Murvin was involved in all four of the Gorloks' on the week.

Defensive Player of the Week  
  Ty Baudendistel, Webster University

A freshman keeper, Baudendistel was in net for two shutout wins last week. He stopped the only shot he saw in a 2-0 win against Spalding. Three days later he recorded six saves in a 2-0 win over Fontbonne.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Aamahn Murvin, Webster University

Capturing his second straight weekly award, Murvin totaled nine points in two games last week. He netted four goals and added one assist in helping the Gorloks to a pair of conference wins. Murvin scored two goals against both Eureka and Principia and added an assist against Principia. Murvin now has 50 career goals, becoming just the second Gorlok to reach that mark.

Defensive Player of the Week  
  Gavin O'Donley, Spalding University

A sophomore keeper O'Donley allowed just one goal in two games last week, finishing with a 0.50 goals-against average. He made six total saves, three in each game, and recorded a shutout against Westminster. O'Donley finished the week with a .857 save percentage.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Aamahn Murvin, Webster University

Murvin recorded his first career hat trick in helping the Gorloks to a 4-0 win over Blackburn. The senior forward buried three goals on six shots in the game. He opened the scoring in the game at the 14-minute mark before adding two more goals in the second half just 10-minutes apart.

Defensive Player of the Week  
  Torben Rehnert, Principia College

The sophomore keeper held a clean sheet in two games last week. In 180 minutes of action, Rehnert blanked two conference opponents. He had six saves in a 1-0 win over Eureka and stopped four more shots in a scoreless draw against Blackburn.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Amar Mujezinovic, Webster University

Mujezinovic, a junior, helped the Gorloks to a win and a tie in conference opening week. He tallied his team's only goal in a tie against Greenville, doing so on his only shot of the game. He netted two goals in his team's 5-0 win over Fontbonne, finishing the week with three goals on four shots.

  Heath George, Webster University

A junior defender George helped the Gorlok defense limit their opponents to just one goal in two games. He also added a pair of assists in helping the Gorloks pick up a win over Fontbonne.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Noah Abraham, Webster University

Abraham helped the Gorloks go undefeated last week. He tallied the only goals of the game in a 2-0 win over Wabash. Abraham scored at the 9-minute mark to give the Gorloks the lead and extended that lead with another tally at the 62-minute mark. He finished with six shots in two games last week. 

Defensive Player of the Week  
  Torben Rehnert, Principia College

Rehnert, a sophomore keeper, picked up a win in net for the Panthers against Harris-Stowe. He played 84:51 in net before the game was called due to weather, allowing just one goal while stopping 13 shots in the victory. He finished with a .929 save percentage on the week.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Shane Greathouse, Blackburn College

Greathouse picked up goals in his team's first two games of the season including a hat trick in the season opener. The junior was the game's only goal scorer in the Beavers 3-0 win over Moody Bible. He added another goal in a 4-0 win against Andrews. On the week Greathouse netted four goals on seven shots.

Defensive Player of the Week  
  Luke Dillon, Webster University

Dillon recorded a shutout in his collegiate debut with the Gorloks. The freshman keeper stopped all six shots he faced in drawing a 0-0 tie against Dominican.
