2022 Volleyball Players of the Week

Offensive Player of the Week
 

Jayda Branch, Spalding University

The sophomore outside hitter helped the Golden Eagles to a 3-1 win over Blackburn in the regular season finale. Branch finished the match with 22 kills and 19 digs, adding two aces. She hit .237 in the match and totaled 24 points, averaging 6.0 points per set.

Defensive Player of the Week  
 

Chasity Hill, Greenville University

Hill closes out the season with her fourth weekly award. The senior averaged 5.33 digs per set and finished with 64 digs in four matches on the week. She had a high of 24 digs against Fontbonne and reached double-digit digs in all four matches.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Mia Bonacorsi, Greenville University

Picking up her third weekly award this fall, Bonacorsi led the Panthers to a 3-1 win over Westminster. The senior outside hitter finished the match with 15 kills and 19 digs while hitting .286 and adding three aces. She totaled 18 points in the match, averaging 4.5 points per set.

Cassie Gray, Webster University

Gray averaged 4.93 digs per set in four matches last week for the Gorloks. The sophomore libero had a high of 32 digs, doing so in a four-set win over Spalding and twice reaching 20 digs in a match. She totaled 74 digs on the week and added two aces.

Offensive Player of the Week
 

Hannah Gallagher, Fontbonne University

Gallagher led the Griffins to a pair of conference victories last week, averaging 4.0 kills and 3.6 digs per set. She had 15 kills and 6 digs, hitting .464, in a sweep of second-place Westminster. The junior followed with a season-high 17 kills against Spalding, adding 23 digs and three blocks.

Cassie Gray, Webster University

Gray wins her second weekly award this season after averaging 7.0 digs per set in three matches last week. She had a high of 34 digs against Eureka and added 23 more in a win over Westminster. She currently leads the SLIAC in digs with over 400 this fall.

Offensive Player of the Week
 

Mia Bonacorsi, Greenville University

Winning her second straight award Bonacorsi totaled 56 kills and 61 digs in four matches last week. She had three matches of double-digit kills including a high of 25 kills against Westminster. Bonacorsi averaged 3.5 kills per set on the week and finished with 63.5 points.

Chasity Hill, Greenville University

Hill secures her third consecutive award after totaling 96 digs in four wins last week. The senior averaged 6.0 digs per set and had a high of 32 digs in a four-set victory over Fontbonne. She also added 13 assists and four aces.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Mia Bonacorsi, Greenville University

Bonacorsi picks up her first weekly award this season after helping the Panthers to three sweeps over conference opponents. She totaled 31 kills and 25 digs in the three matches, averaging 3.88 kills per set while hitting .329 on the week. Bonacorsi had a high of 12 kills against Spalding and twice reached double-digit kills on the week.

Chasity Hill, Greenville University

Winning her second straight weekly award Hill averaged 7.33 digs per set in three matches for the Panthers. She totaled 66 digs in the three wins with a high of 28 against Spalding. Hill also added nine assists and four aces.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Payton Bledsoe, Westminster College

Bledsoe led the Blue Jays to three wins last week, totaling 35 kills and 40 points in four matches. The senior middle blocker hit .388 with 2.92 kills per set and added seven total blocks. She had a high of 13 kills against Spalding and finished three matches with double-digit points.

Hill totaled 67 digs in three matches, averaging 6.09 digs per set. She had two matches of at least 20 digs including a high of 26 digs in a win over Blackburn.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Lauren Borik, Webster University

Capturing her second straight award Borik finished the week with 76 kills in five matches while helping the Gorloks to three wins. She had double-digit kills in four of the matches, averaging 3.30 kills per set. She finished with 85 total points on the week while hitting .274 and adding five aces.

Emma Pramik, Fontbonne University

The senior defensive specialist finished with 47 digs in two outings last week, averaging 5.88 per set. She had a high of 26 digs in a win over Health Sciences and Pharmacy and followed with 21 more in a win over Harris-Stowe. Pramik also added one ace and one block.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Lauren Borik, Webster University

Borik opened her season with back-to-back double-digit kill outings, putting down 35 kills total in her two matches. She hit .293 on the week, averaging 3.5 kills per set while adding five service aces and finishing with 42.5 total points. Borik had a high of 20 kills in her team's 3-2 win over Health Sciences and Pharmacy.

Cassie Gray, Webster University

A sophomore defensive specialist Gray totaled 55 digs in helping the Gorloks to a pair of wins on the week. She averaged 5.5 digs per set including a season conference high of 31 digs. Gray also had a 24-dig outing in a win over Illinois College.

Offensive Player of the Week  
 

Eryka Wanyonyi, Westminster College

A senior outside hitter, Wanyonyi helped the Blue Jays to three wins on the opening weekend. She put down 52 kills and totaled 63.5 points over four matches. Wanyonyi averaged 3.25 kills per set, hitting .201 on the week. She had three double-digit kill matches with a high of 19 in a win over Monmouth.

Defensive Player of the Week
 

Holly Heuerman, Blackburn College

Heuerman tallied 53 digs in three matches last weekend, averaging 4.82 digs per set. She recorded double-digit digs in all three matches including a career-high 20 digs against Harris-Stowe.
