2022 Women's Cross Country Players of the Week

Gretchen Carie, Greenville University

Carie finished 3rd overall at the Greenville Classic. She completed the 5k race in a time of 19:53 and was the top SLIAC runner in a field of 53 competitors. Her time was a personal best and she helped the Panthers to a 2nd place team finish. 

Geena Richards, Principia College

Richards placed 27th in the Border War. She finished the 5K course in a time of 22:31, setting a new personal record. Richards was first among DIII runners in the field. 

Kyanne Williams, Webster University

Williams continues her torrid pace this fall with another weekly award. The senior completed a 5K race in a time of 19:53, finishing 41st in a field of 356 runners.

Williams picks up her third weekly award this season after finishing first at the North Farm Mini Meet. Williams completed the 5k course in a time of 21:29, besting a field of 12 conference competitors.  

Gretchen Carie, Greenville University

On a warm day, Carie led the Panthers to a 3rd-place team finish at the Tiger Invitational. The sophomore finished in 20:27, finishing 7th individually in a field of 76 runners. 

Kyanne Williams, Webster University

For the second straight week, Williams takes home the conference award. The senior Gorlok completed her 5k race at the Twilight Invite in a time of 20:33. Which marked her 3rd fastest collegiate time. She placed 75th in a field of 196 runners.

Williams took 3rd place out of a field of 29 runners at the Principia Opener. The senior finished the course of just over 4,000 meters in a time of 17:06 and was the highest SLIAC finisher in the field.
