Brian Hoener spent two decades with the Griffins, serving as both the men's and women's soccer head coach over that time. He was the men's head coach from 2000-13 before closing out his coaching career as the women's head coach from 2011-18; with three seasons as dual head coach from 2011-13. He is the all-time leader in coaching wins for both programs, recording 155 wins with the men's program and 96 with the women's program; totaling 251 wins. Hoener led the men's team to two tournament titles and three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. He was a four-time Coach of the Year and led the Griffins to four conference championships with 29 All-Conference players during his tenure. He was a three-time Women's Soccer Coach of the Year, leading the Griffins program to eight conference tournaments and coaching 33 All-Conference players.
