Webster's Kyler Scott Earns Player of the Year Honors on Summer Tour

ST. LOUIS - Webster University golfer Kyler Scott (JR, Culver Academy, IN) was named the co-player of the year for the inaugural Accelerated Golf Tour this summer. Scott's point total earned him the honor in the collegiate men's division of the tour.

Scott won two events and finished as runner-up in the tour's season finale at Norwood Hills Country Club. He played in five of the 10 total events held in summer 2011, at some of the top courses in the region, including Dalhousie and Norwood Hills.

Having already distinguished himself his first two seasons at Webster, Scott will help lead the Gorloks during the 2011-12 year, starting with this fall's schedule. He was a St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference First Team All-Conference selection in 2010 and Second Team choice in 2011. The Gorloks advanced to the NCAA Championships in 2011, finishing 29th in the nation.

Scott's exploits were featured in an article at STL Today. You can read the article here.
