Baer and Brown Jr. Named All-Region

Cody Baer and Wynne Brown Jr. have been named to the 2023 D3hoops.com All-Region team, marking the first time since the 2019-20 season that the SLIAC has had multiple players earn the honor.

Baer, this year's SLIAC Player of the Year, put up 17.2 points and 11.6 rebounds per game in his first year with Eureka College to earn First Team All-Region honors. He was the only player in the league to average a double-double and ranked 3rd in the conference with a .538 field goal percentage. Baer had seven 20-point games this season with a high of 43 and recorded 15 double-doubles on the year. He also ranked 3rd in the league in blocked shots and free-throw percentage. This is the second straight season the Red Devils have had an All-Region player, following Ian Milsteadt last year.

Brown Jr., a senior guard for Webster University, earned All-Conference honors for the third consecutive season including being a First Team selection this year. He averaged 15.4 points per game this year, shooting 46 percent from the field to pick up Third Team All-Region honors. He added 48 assists and 36 steals and helped the Gorloks to a share of the SLIAC regular season title. Brown is just the second Gorlok to earn All-Region honors, joining former Josh Johnson from the 2019-20 season.
