2022-23 Women's Basketball Player of the Week

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - February 20
Shakaya Rogers, Eureka College

Rogers averaged 15.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 2.5 steals over two games last week, helping the Red Devils secure a postseason berth. She shot 75 percent from the field in the two games with her best outing coming against Principia when she finished with 15 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists, and 4 steals.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - February 13
Julie Baudendistel, Webster University

The winner for a second straight week, Baudendistel averaged 19.5 points and 7.0 rebounds in two Gorlok wins. She put up 24 points, on 9-of-14 shooting, against Eureka. She followed with 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals against Principia. On the week she shot 54 percent from the field and totaled three blocks and two steals.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - February 6
Julie Baudendistel, Webster University

Baudendistel helped the Gorloks to a pair of conference wins last week, averaging 25.5 points and 13.0 rebounds in the two games while shooting 57 percent from the field. She had 30 points in a win over Greenville and followed with 21 points and 16 rebounds against Fontbonne. The senior knocked down 5-of-7 threes and was perfect from the free throw line.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - January 30
Ja'mise Bailey, Fontbonne University

The sophomore averaged 17.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 5.0 assists in two wins last week for the Griffins. Her best game came in a win over Principia when she narrowly missed a triple-double with 19 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. She also added three steals and one block on the week, shooting 46 percent from the field. 

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - January 23
Annette Ramirez, Westminster College

Ramirez exploded for 33 points in a win over Greenville and averaged 26.0 points over two wins for the Blue Jays last week. She also averaged 6.5 rebounds per game and shot 60 percent from the field while knocking down 6-of-12 threes. She added four assists on the week. 

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - January 16
Sydney Hannam, Eureka College

Hannam exploded this week, averaging 36.0 points in two conference wins. The senior scored a career-high 43 points in a win over Blackburn, the 4th most in conference history. She was 13-of-20 from the field in that game, knocking down six threes. She followed with 29 points in a win over Spalding with three more triples. On the week she shot 65 percent from the field and 64 percent from three-point range, grabbing 4.5 rebounds per game.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - January 9
Madelyn Stephen, Greenville University

A senior forward, Stephen averaged 24.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in two conference wins last week. She put up 24 points in both games, wins over Eureka and Principia, shooting 59 percent from the floor on the week. She added five assists and three steals in the two games and went 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.

Kourtney White, Fontbonne University

Averaged a double-double in two games; putting up 15.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per game. She had a high of 21 points and 15 rebounds in a win over Judson and added four assists and three steals in two games on the week. 

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - December 19
Natalie Fichter, Spalding University

Fichter reached 1,000 career points this week after averaging 19.7 points in three games. She also averaged 7.7 rebounds, 3.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game on the week while shooting 44 percent from the field and 89 percent from the charity stripe. She had a high of 22 points against Westminster (Pa.) and picked up a double-double in her team's win over Immaculata.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - December 12
Annette Ramirez, Westminster College

Scored a career-high 26 points in a win over Central Christian Bible. The sophomore finished 11-of-18 from the field, hitting one three-pointer and going three-for-three from the free-throw line. Ramirez also grabbed five rebounds, including three offensive, and dealt four assists while recording two steals.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - December 5
Taylor Brown, Principia College

Brown has been instrumental in the Panthers' resurgence, helping them to a pair of wins last week by averaging 17.0 points, 9.0 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game. She scored 17 points in both wins and recorded a double-double with 10 rebounds against Mount Mary. Brown shot 60 percent from the field on the week and knocked down five threes while going 5-for-6 from the free-throw line.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - November 28
Kourtney White, Fontbonne University

The senior guard shined for the Griffins in an 85-83 win over Baptist Bible. White scored a game-high 23 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field, and added 11 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals. She scored 10 of her points in the second quarter, helping the Griffins open up a lead; one they would not relinquish. 

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - November 21
Natalie Fichter, Spalding University

Fichter, a senior forward, averaged 12.7 points and 7.3 rebounds in three games last week for the Golden Eagles. She put up 14 points and 12 rebounds in helping the Golden Eagles to a win over Earlham. Fichter had a high of 20 points against Berry. She also recorded six steals and three blocks on the week and was 12-for-12 from the free-throw line.

Women's Basketball Player of the Week - November 14
    Ariana Williams, Principia College

A freshman forward Williams made an immediate impact on the Panther program, helping them to its first 2-0 start to a season in over 13 years. Williams finished with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 4 steals in her collegiate debut. She followed with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 3 steals, and 3 blocks; helping ice the game with a free-throw with seven seconds left in a win the next day against Southwestern.
