MEN'S BASKETBALL
Spalding University's Dewhon McAfee, a junior from Louisville, Ky. (Butler), has been named the SLIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 24-30. This marks the second time this season that he has earned the honor.

McAfee, a 6-0 guard, helped lead the Golden Eagles to two victories last week with an average of 20.0 points and 6.5 assists per game, while also shooting .538 (14-of-26) from the field, .400 (4-of-10) from three-point range and .727 (8-of-11) from the charity stripe.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Blackburn College's Sierra Shipley, a senior from Waukegan, Ill., has been named the SLIAC Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of January 24-30.

Shipley, a 5-9 forward, averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 steals in two games last week. She had 12 points, four steals and three rebounds in a 55-39 win over MacMurray College. Shipley also recorded a double-double with 17 points and 12 rebounds in a 73-60 victory against Greenville College.
