Westminster Baseball Field Undergoing a Facelift
Fulton, Mo. – Saucier Field, the home of the Westminster College baseball squad, is being resurfaced with the installation of new sod and seed.
The project, which has been slowed by the summer heat, is underway. The field has been shaved bare in preparation for the sodding and seeding. The new surface is a combination of fescue and bluegrass and should have a better year-long look and durability. The previous surface, which was put in in the late 1990s, was primarily zoysia and went dormant in the fall and did not green up until late spring.
Westminster has a new head baseball coach. Luke Harrigan was named head coach in late May.
