Westminster's Chacko Named Academic All-America

FULTON, Mo. - Westminster College senior Jeff Chacko has been named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Men's Soccer Third Team, as announced Thursday by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). Chacko is the eighth Westminster student-athlete to earn CoSIDA Academic All-America honors.

Chacko, a senior midfielder from Little Rock, Arkansas (Catholic High School), is a four-year starter on the Westminster men's soccer squad. He is a Dean's List student and a member of Chi Alpha Sigma, the National College Athlete Honor Society. He carries a 3.87 cumulative grade point average with majors in biochemistry and classics. During the 2010 season Chacko was a team captain and led the Blue Jays with six assists. He tied for the team-lead with two game-winning goals on a team which finished 12-6-1 and tied the school record for wins in a season. Chacko earned his second all-conference certificate this season and his third consecutive academic all-conference award.
