Blue Jay Women Reach Out By Offering Free Basketball Clinics

Fulton, Mo. – The Westminster College women's basketball team completed two free clinics this past Monday at Missouri School for the Deaf (MSD). The clinics were held on consecutive Mondays and were for students from the MSD middle school and high school.

Blue Jay head women's basketball coach Tracey Braden set up the clinics to provide her team the opportunity to develop a partnership. "The clinics were a good opportunity for our players to reach out into the community and build a positive relationship," said Braden. "Many of our players have not had this type of experience, and it is a good way to get away from the grind of classes and conditioning."

The Westminster women are coming off a 20-6 season, during which the Blue Jays captured the school's first-ever St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference league title. Four starters return from last year's squad.
