Thompson Steps Down As Eureka Director of Athletics

Steve Thompson will step down as Eureka College Director of Athletics on June 30, 2018, the College announced Tuesday. Thompson has accepted an administrative athletics position at another institution closer to his home in Ohio. Bryan Moore, Director of Media Relations has been named interim Director of Athletics.

Caiti Opp, a softball player at Greenville University, recently had the opportunity to attend the NCAA Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, Indiana. Opp was one of 200 student-athletes that spent four days learning and exploring potential careers in sports. Caiti took the time each day to write down daily entries describing her trip. The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference would like to congratulate the 193 student-athletes earning 2018 All-Academic honors. Athletes from baseball, men's golf, softball, men's and women's tennis, and men's and women's track and field were recognized. In order to be eligible, the student-athlete must be at least a sophomore, have been at their institution for one year, and hold a cumulative grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

SLIAC Softball Tournament, The Sequel

One year ago Fontbonne University, Greenville University, Webster University, and Westminster College met in the SLIAC Softball Tournament. This weekend the same four teams will meet once again to claim the conference's automatic qualifier spot in the NCAA Division III Championship.
