SLIAC Tennis Players of the Week - April 10

This week's SLIAC Tennis Players of the Week are Mariana Rogers, from Fontbonne University and Greg Sovie, from Principia College.

SLIAC MEN'S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 10
GREG SOVIE, PRINCIPIA COLLEGE

Greg Sovie, a freshman at Principia College, is the SLIAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Sovie, from Maggie Valley, N.C., won all four matches on the week, including both of his singles matches. Sovie, playing at #2 singles, topped his opponents 6-1, 6-0 in both outings. He added an 8-5 win over Westminster and an 8-2 win over Webster in #1 doubles play.

SLIAC WOMEN'S TRACK PLAYER OF THE WEEK - APRIL 10
MARIANA ROGERS, FONTBONNE UNIVERSITY

Mariana Rogers is the SLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week after putting together a memorable week for the Fontbonne University team. Rogers picked up four singles wins including three coming against conference opponents. Playing in the top spot, Rogers swept Blackburn, helping mark the first known sweep by a Griffin against a conference member in program history. Rogers also played #1 doubles, where she added two more wins.
