Go Martin! T-Shirt Fundraiser for Webster Athletic Trainer

Longtime Webster University assistant athletics trainer Martin Fields recently suffered a medical setback and that setback helped encourage both former and current Gorlok student-athletes to team up to help raise funds for Fields and his family to help offset some of his medical expenses.

Two former Gorlok women's soccer players, Lauren Nuelle and Sydney Tedesco have set up a website that is selling both short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts. The shirts, which cost $20 for short sleeve and $22 for long sleeve, have messages on both the front and back of the shirt to help encourage Fields on his recovery from his medical setback.

On the front, the t-shirt reads, "Go Martin!!" and on the back, the message reads, "It's time for us to help you get back on the field. #GorlokStrong"

"We came up with this idea for the fundraiser to show our support for Martin since he has taken care of all of us as athletes all these years," Nuelle said. "Martin has always been there for us, so I think, this is a chance for us to be there for him and show how much he's appreciated."

The online store, which was set up through Winning Streak, will remain open until 11:50 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 27 and all t-shirt orders will ship approximately three weeks after the store's closing date.
