Leaton and Wallin Named SLIAC Golf Players of the Week

SLIAC Men's Golf Player of the Week - Sept. 19
Nolan Leaton, Iowa Wesleyan University

Leaton, a freshman from Wilton, Iowa, is the SLIAC Men's Golf Player of the Week after a top five finish at the Eureka College Invitational. Playing in a field full of conference players, Leaton placed 4th overall with one round score of 77. He carded a 39 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine, edging out his teammate in a tie-break. 

SLIAC Women's Golf Player of the Week - Sept. 19
Kassidy Wallin, Spalding University

Wallin made her 2018 debut with a first place finish at the Thomas More Tri-Match. Wallin tied for first place with a single round score of 85, helping the Golden Eagles take first as a team with a score of 361. 

Other Notables:

• Will Pruden, Fontbonne University - Pruden took first overall at the Eureka College Invitational with a par 70. 
• Rebecca Roth, Westminster College - Roth shot a career-low 81 in the first round of the William Woods Invitational, finishing 16th overall.
