Howardson Claims First Place in Tigers' Cross Country Return

RESULTS

In the new era of Iowa Wesleyan Cross Country, the Tigers have a lot to look forward to.  The women's team finished third out of five teams in the field. 

On the women's side, Sierra Howardson (FR/Danville, IA) made a splash in her Iowa Wesleyan debut.  Howardson was the top individual runner with a time of 16:56, finishing twenty-one seconds ahead of second place.  Allison Norris turned in the next best time for the Tigers and just missed placing in the top ten individually. Norris placed eleventh after recording a time of 18:31. The Tiger women finished with a team time of 1:52:55.

Iowa Wesleyan will return to action on September 8th when they will compete in the Les Duke Invite in Grinnell, Iowa.  The women's race will begin at 10 a.m. with the men following at 10:45 am.
