Five Grinnell Men's Golfers Earn Academic Honors

Five Grinnell College men's golfers have been named to the 2023 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-Large Team.

Those golfers include Brody Barton '23, Kevin Carpenter '25, Luke McCann '25, Hayden Somach '25 and Ian Strawn '24.

The At-Large category not only includes golf but beach volleyball, bowling, crew/rowing, fencing, field hockey, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, water polo, men's volleyball and wrestling.
 
The squad, selected by College Sports Communicators including Grinnell Sports Information Director Ted Schultz, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in June.
