Linthicum Claims 1st at H.W. Wright Classic
Webster University's Kalleigh Linthicum picked up her first individual title this fall by taking first-place at the H.W. Wright Classic. The junior runner finished the 6K course in a time of 24:54, besting the next closest runner by over seven seconds. The Gorloks finished 2nd as a team, in a field of eight.
The Gorloks had two more runners finish in the top ten at the event. Kaitlin Higgins placed 3rd with a time of 25:17 while Meredith Sowers finished 9th with a time of 26:17.
Principia College was 5th as a team and was led by Emme Schaefer. Schaefer finished 13th overall with a time of 26:40. Her teammates Aton Leslie (23rd) and Lindsey Huffman (33rd) followed.
Fontbonne University finished 8th as a team and was led by Taylor Aurand (41st) with a time of 30:15. Christianna Bush was the top runner for MacMurray College (38th) with a time of 29:35 and Charlotte Blair was the top finisher for Westminster College (21st) with a time of 27:41.
