Montgomery Tops 1,000 Career Points
Spalding University guard Marcus Montgomery wrapped up his junior season by reaching a career milestone, joining the 1,000 point club. Montgomery closed out his year with 1,105 points, averaging 19.5 points per game this season (4th most in the SLIAC). He scored his 1,000th career point on February 8th against Fontbonne University. Montgomery closed out his 2019-20 season with nine straight double-digit scoring games and earlier this season broke the SLIAC single-game scoring record with 55 points against Greenville University; although the record was later broken again four days later.
