SLIAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week - October 3

This week's SLIAC Players of the Week include Ryan Dudley, from Fontbonne University and Ryan Glynn, from Spalding University.


SLIAC MEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE WEEK (OFFENSIVE)
RYAN DUDLEY - FONTBONNE UNIVERSITY

Fontbonne's Ryan Dudley is the SLIAC Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week. Dudley, a junior from Eureka, Mo., netted a hat trick that propelled an offensive explosion for the Griffins. Entering their game Fontbonne had just three goals on the season but Dudley quickly pushed that total upwards in the 8-0 win. He scored just five-minutes into the start of the game and added his second goal 10-minutes later. He completed the hat trick with a goal early in the second-half. Dudley scored his three goals on just four shots on goal and six shots overall.

RYAN GLYNN - SPALDING UNIVERSITY

Ryan Glynn, a senior from Louisville, Ky., is this week's SLIAC Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week. Glynn helped the Golden Eagles hand Westminster College their first SLIAC loss since 2014. Glynn stopped all eight shots he faced in his team's 1-0 win over the Blue Jays, blanking the league's top scoring team. The win marks the second consecutive conference win for Spalding and is Glynn's third shutout of the season, most in the SLIAC.

  • Edgar Bueno, Greenville College (Men's Soccer) Bueno netted the game winning goal and added an assist in his team's 3-1 win over Principia.
  • Nermin Hajrizi, Webster University (Men's Soccer) Hajrizi scored two goals, including the game winner against Iowa Wesleyan.
  • Osman Hussein, Spalding University (Men's Soccer) Hussein tallied the game winning goal in his team's 1-0 win over Westminster, handing them their first loss to a SLIAC team in 17 games.
