SLIAC Cross Country Players of the Week - September 26

This week's SLIAC Players of the Week include Jessie Kuykendall, from Westminster College and Nate Richards, from Principia College.


SLIAC MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
NATE RICHARDS - PRINCIPIA COLLEGE

Nate Richards, a junior from Princeton, Mass., is the SLIAC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week for Sept. 26. Richards, making his 2016 debut on an 8K course, finished in a time of 26:25 at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational. Richards finished 6th overall individually out of 292 runners. He used a late push over the final kilometer to finish in the top ten and helped the Panthers finish 10th in a field of 31 teams.

 


SLIAC WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
JESSIE KUYKENDALL - WESTMINSTER COLLEGE

For the second straight week and the third time this season Westminster's Jessie Kuykendall grabs SLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week honors. Competing in the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational Kuykendall finished 2nd overall in a field of 225 runners. She completed the 6K course in a time of 23:03 and helped the Blue Jays to a 10th place team finish, out of 30 teams.

 

 

Other Notables:

  • Lia Kruse, Greenville College (Cross Country) Kruse set a new personal best with a time of 24:04 and finishing 7th individually at the Brissman-Lundeen Invitational.
  • Marie Sherman, Principia College (Cross Country) Sherman cut off over two-minutes on her personal best time, finishing her 6K race in a time of 28:30.
