Diamond Sports Baseball Hitter of the Week
   

Evan Evola, Webster University

Evola sparked the Gorloks offense last week, hitting .650 with one home run and seven RBI through six games. He also scored eight times and finished with five doubles and three walks. Evola had a hit in all six games with five multi-hit games that included a pair of three-hit outings.

Diamond Sports Pitcher of the Week  
 

Alek Elges, Webster University

Elges put his name in the Gorlok record book, throwing the program's first-ever perfect game in a 5-0 win over Greenville. The sophomore worked 9 perfect innings, striking out seven. The perfect game is just the 24th in Division III history. He also appeared for an inning three days earlier, picking up a save.

Softball Hitter of the Week
 

Grayce Marcum, Spalding University

Marcum went 5-for-7 with five RBI and two stolen bases in a doubleheader sweep of Eureka. Marcum also scored four times on the day and had two doubles. She had two hits in the opening game before closing the day with three hits. 

Softball Pitcher of the Week
  Reese Waggoner, Webster University

Waggoner shut down opponents for three wins in the final week of the regular season including both wins in a doubleheader sweep of Westminster. The sophomore worked a total of 9 2/3 innings on the week, recording a 0.72 earned-run average. She struck out eight batters while walking just one and made two starts on the week. 

Men's Tennis Player of the Week    
 

Rafael Rodriguez, Greenville University

Rodriguez recorded four total wins on the week. The freshman came from behind against Principia; winning 4-6,6-1,10-4 and then dispatched Rose Hulman 6-2,6-3. He also added a pair of wins at #1 doubles with teammate Andres Sanchez.

Women's Tennis Player of the Week
 

Shaling Reynolds, Greenville University

Reynolds picks up the weekly award after stepping up one spot in the lineup for the Panthers. Reynolds moved up to #2 singles where she topped Rose Hulman 6-0,6-2 and then partnered with Claudia Principal for an 8-7 win at #1 doubles.

  • Lexi Backer, Fontbonne University (Softball) Batted .600 with 3 RBI and 3 stolen bases in games last week for the Griffins.
  • Wesley Clark, Spalding University (Baseball) Recorded the win over Principia, striking out 10 in 7 innings and allowing one hit.
  • Jaelin Holdaway, Webster University (Softball) Hit .600 with 5 RBI in four wins for the Gorloks on the week.
  • Alison Klaus, Greenville University (Softball) Tossed a no-hitter in a five-inning win over Blackburn, striking out 13 and picking up her 100th strikeout this season.
