Panthers Hold at #25 in National Ranking

The Greenville University men's track and field program held at #25 in the latest USTFCCCA indoor national ranking, marking the fourth time in six weeks this season that the program has earned a Top 25 ranking. The Panthers reached a high of #21 in the first poll of the season.

Greenville is coming off its fourth consecutive SLIAC Indoor Championship, and currently has 30.11 points on the poll ranking index. The Panthers have four individuals currently scored among the country's best Division III athletes. Carson Rantanen posts the top point total with 15.82 thanks to his 4th place standing in the 60-meter dash with a time of 6.74 seconds. His teammate CJ Anderson is just behind at 6.76 seconds, good for 5th best in DIII, and has a score total of 13.35 points.

Dylan Webster moved onto the list this week with his performance in the high jump at the SLIAC Championships. He marked 6'7.5", which is 19th best in the nation, and gives him 0.94 points. Also making the list is Wesley Kile in the pole vault with a height of 15'5", 35th best, and totaling 0.01 points. 

There will be one more ranking before the final qualifying list is released. The 2023 NCAA Division III Indoor Track and Field Championship will be held  March 10-11 in Birmingham, Ala.
