SLIAC Announces 2010 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and Award Winners

St. Louis, Mo. – The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the 2010 Women's Soccer All-Conference Teams and award winners.

Principia College's Cristina Post was named Player of the Year, while Greenville College's Maureen Murphy was tabbed as Newcomer of the Year. Post, a sophomore defender, helped anchor a Panther defense that allowed only three goals in conference play and posted five shutouts. She also recorded one goal and six assists in conference play. Murphy, a freshman midfielder, recorded four assists in conference play and helped her squad hold conference opponents to only six goals on the season.

Principia College head coach Lee Ellis was selected as Coach of the Year for the fifth consecutive year. Ellis led his squad to their third straight undefeated season in conference play at 8-0 and their 10th regular season Conference Championship.

Principia College also received the Sportsmanship Award.
