Principia Women's Soccer to Travel to Texas for NCAA First Round

ST. LOUIS - The Principia College women's soccer team will travel to Abilene, Texas, to take on Hardin-Simmons University in a first round matchup of the 2010 NCAA Division III Women's Soccer Tournament.

Principia (15-6-0) will take on host Hardin-Simmons (19-0-0) on Saturday, November 13. Game time has yet to be announced. Also in the four-team bracket are University of Puget Sound (17-1-2) and Trinity University (Texas) (17-1-0). The two first round winners will face-off on Sunday, November 14.

Hardin-Simmons, Trinity (Texas) and Puget Sound were ranked first, second and fourth respectively in the final NCAA Division III Women's Soccer regional rankings in the West Region. The three teams were also ranked second, sixth and 24th respectively in the last NSCAA/HendrickCars.com National Rankings, which was released on November 2.

Principia is 0-2 in two national tournament appearances. The Panthers last trip to the NCAA Tournament was in 2008, when they lost a 3-0 decision to Washington University-St. Louis.
