ST. LOUIS - Webster University senior Christy Capkovic (Mehlville HS, STL) has been voted to the ESPN The Magazine 2010 First Team Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). As a First Team selection in her district, she will now be placed on the national ballot for Academic All-American consideration.

Capkovic was voted to the ESPN The Magazine Second Team All-District in 2009. Nominees are judged on academic prowess, while also weighing accomplishments in their respective sport. In addition to her achievements in the classroom, she has a 3.5 cumulative GPA, Capkovic has 18 goals and nine assists for 45 points to date for the 2010 season.

In 2009, Capkovic led the NCAA Division III nationally in points per game (3.9), goals (33), and goals per game (1.65). Capkovic holds the Webster University single season records for goals (33) and points (78), and is the career leader in goals (88), assists (47), and points (224). Her current total of 88 goals is the 25th highest career total in NCAA III women's history.

Capkovic was named to the First Team for the College Division Seventh District. The College Division includes members of the NCAA II, NCAA III, NAIA, and community colleges. The CoSIDA seventh district includes nine states in the upper Midwest and West, and two Canadian provinces.

Capkovic is the only women's player in the St. Louis region who was voted to the Seventh District soccer team for the College or University Divisions.
