Eeten Repeats as Women's Basketball Player of the Week

St. Louis, Mo. - The St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC) has announced the men's and women's basketball athletes of the week for the week of November 21-27.

MEN'S BASKETBALL
Spalding University's Jametrius Brasher, a junior from Louisville, Ky. (Male), has been named the Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 21-27.

Brasher, a 6-6 forward, averaged 18.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in two games played last week, while also shooting 50 percent (12-of-24) from the field. He recorded a double-double with 17 points and 13 rebounds in an 82-72 overtime loss to Victory University. Brasher shot 5-of-12 (.410) from the field, 7-of-10 (.700) from the free throw line and tallied two assists and one block. He scored 20 points on 7-of-12 (.580) shooting from the field and 6-of-9 (.667) from the charity stripe to lead the Golden Eagles to a 65-54 victory over Alma College. Brasher also added two steals and one block in the win.

WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Eureka College's Caty Eeten, a sophomore from Eureka, Ill., has been named the Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the week of November 21-27. It marks the second consecutive week that she has earned the honor.

Eeten, a 5-10 guard, continued her brisk early-season scoring pace by pouring in 35 points in Eureka's 80-57 win at Concordia University (Ill.), marking Eureka's largest margin of victory against an NCAA Division III opponent in more than two seasons. She shot 61.1 percent (11-of-18) from the field and 85.7 percent (12-of-14) from the free throw line. Eeten also added 11 rebounds to record a double-double, while also tallying five assists and two steals.
