Fontbonne Names Shaver Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach

ST. LOUIS - The Fontbonne University athletic department is pleased to announce it has hired Jacob Shaver as its new head men's and women's cross country and track and field coach. Shaver replaces Jeff Barker who resigned earlier this month.

Shaver comes to Fontbonne after serving as an assistant cross country and track coach at Aurora University, Rhodes College and University of Chicago.

"We're thrilled to welcome Coach Shaver to Fontbonne" Fontbonne Director of Athletics Maria Eftink said. "He has a wealth of NCAA Div. III experience and we're excited about the future of our cross country and track programs under his leadership."

Shaver earned his bachelor's degree from Augustana College and his master's degree from National-Louis University. He has his USATF Level 2 Certification.
