Kouchi Picks Up Another Win

Nina Kouchi '22 claimed the individual title and two Grinnell College golf teammates were also top 10 finishers to lead the Pioneers to a runner-up finish at the Prairie Fire Classic.
 
The meet began Saturday before action was suspended due to inclement weather. Round one was finished Sunday morning and round two was cancelled.
 
Kouchi had a score of 77 to beat the runners-up by a stroke in the 47-golfer field. Danielle Oberlander '21 added an 81, good for a fifth-place tie, and Aubrie Torhorst '23 tied for 10th with an 82. Rounding out Grinnell's team were Zoe Robinson '23, who had an 88, and Lexi Mueldener '23 with a 98.
 
The Pioneers had a team score of 328, putting them just three shots behind champion University of Dubuque in the seven-team field.
