SLIAC Tennis Teams Recognized With ITA Academic Awards

ST. LOUIS - The Webster University and Principia College men's and women's tennis teams were recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) with All-Academic Team Awards for 2012. Ten Gorlok tennis players and twelve Principia players were named ITA Scholar Athletes for 2012.

To qualify for the ITA All-Academic Team Award, team rosters must maintain a cumulative 3.2 GPA for the academic year. Individuals must have a cumulative 3.5 GPA for the year to qualify for the Scholar Athlete Award. Nationally, 48 men's NCAA III teams qualified, while 89 women's teams did as well. Webster and Principia were two of only 34 colleges and universities who had both teams recognized by the ITA.
