Five Named NFCA All-Region

Five players from across the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference have earned 2017 National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-Region honors. Greenville College was represented by Kate Jolliff, Becca Oldham, and Tiffany Samsoe while Westminster College was represented by Josie Cotter and Amber Tepen. All five players earned Third Team All-Region recognition.

Jolliff, a junior shortstop, hit .440 this spring with seven home runs and 46 runs batted in. She also added 15 stolen bases and finished with a .799 slugging percentage.

Oldham, a junior utility player, hit .408 with a team best nine home runs while driving in 43 at the plate. Samsoe, a senior infielder, hit .424 and finished with four home runs and 44 runs batted in while holding a .507 on-base percentage.

Cotter, a freshman, hit .384 while leading the Blue Jays with five home runs and 39 runs batted in. She had a .616 slugging percentage and was named the SLIAC Newcomer of the Year. Tepen, a junior outfielder, hit .361 with three home runs and 31 runs batted this past spring, leading her team with 12 doubles.
