Greenville's Wienecke, Principia's Henneberry Named Academic All-District

ST. LOUIS - Greenville College's Natalie Henneberry and Principia College's Lauren Wienecke have both been named Second Team Capital One Academic All-District, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Henneberry, a sophomore forward, has a 4.00 grade point average and is an Elementary Education major. She netted a team-high 18 goals this season, which also ranked second in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SLIAC). Henneberry also tallied six assists to finish with a team-high 42 points.

Wienecke, a senior defender, has a 3.75 grade point average and is a Spanish major. Wienecke helped the Principia defense post 13 shutouts this season, while only allowing 13 goals total in 21 games played.  Wienecke also finished the season with three goals and two assists for a total of eight points.

The 2011 Capital One Academic All-District Women's Soccer Teams, selected by CoSIDA, have been released to recognize teh nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances athletically and in the classroom. Capital One became the entitlement rights holder to CoSIDA's Academic All-America teams programs in 2011.

The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. This is the first year of the expanded Academic All-America program as CoSIDA moves from recognizing a University Division (Division I) and a College Division (all non Division I) and doubles the number of scholar-ahtletes honored. The teams include NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II and NCAA Division III participants, whle the College Division team combines NAIA, Canadian and two-year schools.
