Henn Earns Scholar All-Region Honors

Spalding University's Clayton Henn was honored by the United Soccer Coaches, earning 2019 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Scholar All-Region honors. Henn was named to the All-South Region, picking up Second Team honors, after carrying a 3.41 grade-point average while majoring in Psychology.

Henn, a junior defender, played in 18 games this past fall; starting 17. He recorded 1 goal from his defensive position while being a part of a defense that ranked 2nd in the St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in fewest goals allowed. He was named Second Team All-Conference and helped the Golden Eagles to a 13-5-3 overall and 6-2-1 conference record.

Henn is the third Golden Eagle to earn Scholar All-Region honors in the last four years; joining Joey Lesher in 2016 and Tenko Kono in 2018. To be eligible for Scholar All-Region recognition, student-athletes must meet the following criteria: hold a 3.30 cumulative grade point average, started more than 50 percent of all games and significantly contribute to their team, nominated by the head coach of their institution, and be a junior or above in academic standing.
